M&A #40: Nikhil Sharma

Next up a man who's arrival on the scene made some serious waves back in March (feels a lifetime ago now doesn't it). His set at the Lift Up x Fleapit night in Fez slapped, with some lively videos of the affair played and replayed across instagram. Now moving closer to the Lift Up crew, Nikhil graces us with some tight 130 bpm garage and bass to really get that bass-face going in a time when it's maybe had slightly too long away. The tight flow he showed off on the club sound system is in full effect hear, with a smooth narrative through this 55 mins.He's got another mix going up soon with Lift Up so keep your ear to the ground for that too!

How did you record the mix?

I used a Pioneer controller and Rekordbox to record the mix. I thought of the first 2-3 songs I wanted to play, along with a few pairs of songs that I thought would blend well together and basically just played the rest by ear.

What were you trying to do with it?

To blend a variety of sounds on the 130 spectrum that I love.
